Biography
Elayna began studying bellydance in college over 15 years ago as an alternative to aeorobics. Her first teachers in Colorado encouraged her to perform publicly as a soloist, as well as a member of student dance troupes. She continued studying with many popular San Francisco Bay Area teachers after moving to California.
Elayna began performing professionally 12 years ago, and when living in Germany for 2 1/2; years, was the house dancer at Restaurant Nefretiti in Stuttgart. Upon returning to the US, she began performing in restaurants such as Menara & Zorbas in San Jose, Marrakech in San Francisco and Hozkhouneh in Los Altos.
Elayna began teaching 9 years ago and currently teaches group classes through California Adult Education and Club One Sport Facilities. She also teaches private lessons at her studio in Los Altos.
Currently, Elayna focuses on performances at private parties, Corporate events and festivals, where she performs solo, with one other partner, or with members of her dance troupes.
