Digital Productions was a pioneer in special effects and computer graphics. It was the first and  the last company that used supercomputer technology to produce computer graphics. It had about 100 persons at its peak production time. Notable effects are in the movies: The Last Star Fighter, Labyrinth, and 2010 Space Odessy.

Digital Productions was purchased by Omnibus in  the fall of 1986, and it subsequently merged with Abels Associates. All three companies were famous for their works in producing commercials and movies. In  the spring of 1987, Digital Productions--Omnibus-Abels became history. However, many persons who worked for these companies became successful, and some of them were subsequently nominated and/or awarded Oscars.
